Vintage Avelar's Tooled Leather Purse with 8 Compartments
This outstanding vintage purse dates to the 1960s. The leather is intricately tooled. Even the bottom, which has 4 brass feet, has a tooled pattern. The many compartments make this a wonderfully organized and useful handbag. There are 3 zippered compartments, all with working zippers. Additionally, there are 5 separate sections without zippers. The leather is clean and supple, inside and out. The label inside reads Avelar’s Products Genuine Leather Made in Mexico. The handles are sewn on sturdily and are not cracked or dry. The fold-over flap is held shut by a brass toggle latch.
Measures 11-3/4 x 7 x 3-1/2 inches. Straps are 19 inches long.
Inside the flap are the names of 2 previous owners, written in ink.
