Stunning Vintage Cubist-Inspired Bronze Face Brooch
This very unusual brooch appears to have been inspired by both Classical and Modern design. It shows a face in profile. The subject appears to be wearing a helmet or headdress and has a speech bubble emerging from the mouth. The large chin and cheekbones are elevated with repousse work, as is the textured hair and headdress. The speech bubble is finished in silver-tone. The face is coppery. The hair and headdress have an antiqued bronze patination. Safety clasp holds well. This wonderful piece is unsigned.
