Smaller Vintage Munising Turned Maple Bowl

$42.00

This lovely small bowl was turned from wood near the crotch of a tree, producing a fabulous grain pattern with two “bullseye” markings. It can be dated to the 1940s by the style of the Munising wood-burned mark on the bottom. Unlike many of these bowls, this one was sold varnished. Some of the varnish has worn off with time. It is lovely in this naturally aged condition but could be stripped and revarnished or left natural, depending on the preferences of the buyer. As is typical of Munising bowls, this one is slightly off-round.

Measures 8-1/4 x 8-3/4 inches in diameter, 2 inches deep.
