Rare Walter Lampl Walburt Sterling Sword Brooch with Turquoise & Onyx
This wonderful brooch is in the form of a sheathed sword. The sword hasp is ornamented with a face carved from Mexican onyx. The sheath is set with 2 turquoise cabochons. Marked STERLING on the sheath and WALBURT on the blade. The Walburt division of Walter Lampl, Inc., named for Walter Lampl’s sons, was established in June 1944 and existed until 1947. Safety clasp holds well.
Total length with sword in sheath is 3".
Excellent vintage condition. Normal patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed.
