Pair of Vintage Engraved Indian Brass Vases
These intricately hand-engraved brass vases are very substantial, weighing about 15 ounces each and measuring 7 inches tall. The skillfully applied decoration is a stylized foliar and floral motif. Both have the same inscriptions on the bottom - a professionally applied presentation reading M. A. GOIT 2-26-11 50 YR. ANN. and also an amateur vibrating pen inscription reading INDIA 18-70-TJ.
Both are in very good vintage condition. Light patina of vintage brass has been left undisturbed. Some very minor irregularities around the mouths of the vases consistent with age and use.
