Outstanding 1970s Native American Heishi Fetish Double Strand Necklace
This extraordinary necklace features truly tiny pen shell and turquoise heishi, each measuring only 1.5 mm. in diameter. At the center of the bottom string is a carved sky-blue turquoise spread-winged bird measuring 22 x 25 mm. Along the strands are an additional 34 animal and bird fetishes, measuring 17 to 24 mm. in width. Carved from various types of stones and shells, there are bears, foxes, badgers, turtles, fish, hummingbirds, and other birds. Handcrafted sterling clasp.
Shorter strand measures 28-1/2 inches in length.
