Midcentury Stoneware Vase - Bering Sea Originals Alaskan Made
Measures 10 inches tall, 17-1/2 inches in circumference at widest point.
This beautiful mid-century modern vase dates to circa 1970. Although unsigned by the artist, it is in the style of Florence Nupok Malewotkuk. Her art was featured on Bering Sea Originals products from 1965 until her death in 1971. The vase is a lovely pale gray, with darker gray speckles and a matte glaze. It has an elegant shape and interestingly shaped top. Etched front and back with images of a bighorn sheep.
