This is the smaller, lapel size, version of the famous “Patriot Pin” sold as a symbol of patriotism after the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. It shows a blue-enameled globe with a gold-tone airplane zooming towards a glass faux pearl centered in the Pacific Ocean to represent Hawaii. Red, white, and blue enameled ribbons extend from the globe, with the words REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR on them. On the back, it reads FOR AID TO THE HONOLULU COMMUNITY CHEST and DES. PAT. APP.
